Came to know about the job via a relative whom also tried to apply. So I decided to try out the walk-in interview which is done every Friday.
1. Pre-assessment:
a) Language Test, writing replies to sample enquiries in English, BM and Chinese.
b) IT questions, multiple choice qs, provided by Huawei
c) Application Form
2. First interview with head of recruitment, Julian. I was asked about my background and experience. I was also briefed about the job, its requirements and salary. This was easy and I passed this interview without any problems.
3. Second interview with John, who was in charge of IT, after waiting two hours. The interview was more technical-related, where he asked me about Android, backing up data and improving battery life. He also asked me about my hobbies and asked me to elaborate on it in English and Bahasa Malaysia. This was harder, since I am not good in speaking BM, and having only basic knowledge of mobile phones, but I managed to pass this interview. Julian then asked me to wait for a week before the interview with Huawei.
4. Third interview with Huawei, also inside the same building where Scicom is located. Had to wait about an hour as the employees were quite busy. This interview was also very task-related, and I was asked to construct my response based on what customers would ask if their phones have problems. After about 15 mins, he told me to wait for 2-3 days for a reply from Huawei.
Unfortunately I didn't get any reply after 1 week, so I knew I was declined the job. Maybe because I didn't have enough technical knowledge of mobile phones. But this being my first interview, so I did get some experience, at least.
