      Interview

I recently had an interview with this company, and unfortunately, the experience left me feeling uncomfortable and concerned about their approach to potential employees. However, I hope my feedback can help improve the company's hiring process moving forward. During the interview, the interviewer had a strict 30-minute time limit, which was courteous. However, throughout the interview, they appeared to be distracted and disinterested in my responses, which made me feel uncomfortable. In hindsight, I believe that if the interviewer is too busy, it would be better to reschedule or not make the slot available for an interview initially. The hypothetical questions asked were difficult to understand, and when I struggled to answer them, the interviewer seemed to get frustrated and even sighed. As someone who has interviewed candidates in the past, I believe it would be better to provide a hypothetical situation that the potential candidate might face and ask them to provide real-world examples of how their experience may have provided them the tools to handle the situation. The interviewer didn't seem interested in my experience at all, which was disappointing. Additionally, the interviewer asked me if I was texting during the interview, even though I was taking notes on my computer. This made me feel uncomfortable and showed a lack of tact and professionalism. I always take notes during interviews, whether I am interviewing or being interviewed, and I believe this is an important accommodation to keep in mind for certain disabilities. Lastly, I noticed that the job description did not include the pay range, which is required under NYC's salary transparency laws. This lack of transparency made me uncomfortable and forced me to inquire about the rate during the interview. In the future, it would be helpful if the job description included the pay range, as this would save time and ensure that all candidates are aware of the compensation expectations upfront. Overall, my experience with the interview process was poor, but I believe this company has potential. I hope my feedback helps them improve their hiring process in the future.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

One of the most confusing questions was, "What is a specific situation within this role that would require you to get drinks (etc) with a customer in person over emailing them?"
