      Sales Development Representative Interview

      Aug 7, 2019
      Anonymous employee
      Munich, Bavaria
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at SimScale (Munich, Bavaria) in Jun 2019

      Interview

I had sent the application through Linkedin and got the first call from HR a couple of days later. I had been asked a few questions about my motivation and my knowledge of the position, and the company, plus a description of my past work experiences. The recruiter told me already in that call that I had been successful and we agreed on the next step. I had been informed that the last step would have been a final interview in Munich. I had a few days later an interview with the Sales Director, who explained in detail the position and clarified all the doubts, we went through my CV and lastly, we did a couple of roles plays of calling, and agreed to have the last interview in Munich. The next week I went to Munich and had 4-5 hours of interview. In the first meeting I spoke with HR and the Sales Director about my past experiences and I had been asked many specific questions. The next meeting had been with the CEO and the Sales Director, we did some role plays of calling. After that, we went for lunch together and then gave each other feedback on the whole process. After a few hours, I got a phone call from the recruiter who informed me that they wanted me to be a part of the team.

      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SimScale (Munich, Bavaria)

      Interview

SimScale invest a lot of time into their interview process because they want to make sure the fit is right for everyone involved. Due to me being located abroad at the time of applying, I was offered an initial interview via video conference with HR, then a second interview via video conference with the sales manager. Finally I was invited for an in-person interview in the Munich office which lasted around 4 hours and really gave me a good idea of what to expect when working at SimScale.

      Question 1

SimScale have a true team mentality, so it was refreshing to be asked what I expected from them as an employer.

      Anonymous employee
      New York, NY
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SimScale (New York, NY) in Jun 2019

      Interview

The interview process was very quick yet thorough! I originally had a 1:1 with the US Sales Manager followed by a meeting with both the US and EMEA Sales Managers. In my final interview, I had the opportunity to meet the CEO, VP of Marketing and an Application Engineer. This final interview was more informal, allowing them to better get to know me and vice versa. Overall I really enjoyed the interview process and meeting the various teams. It allowed me to paint the picture of what working at SimScale would be like - a collaborative environment that promotes the growth of its employees!
