I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SimplePractice (Los Angeles, CA) in Jan 2023
Interview
The recruiter was communicative and clear. Scheduling was prompt. Everyone was pretty nice throughout the process. In the end, I was not the right fit for the role, which was fine.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SimplePractice in Mar 2026
Interview
I had a phone screen, followed by an interview with a hiring manager, a follow up with the hiring manager, an interview with a channel manager, and an interview with senior leadership. Everyone was friendly and knowledgable, and you get a true sense for the culture and standards through these conversations. It was a positive experience.

Interview
Very standard but extremely boring. My interviewee did not smile once - it was very off putting. When I inquired about why he enjoyed working for SimplePractice he lacked any excitement or enthusiasm about his role or for the company. That was a red flag for me and immediately let me know it wouldn't be a good cultural fit. Word of advice - you need to do a better job selling the role and not simply ask questions. It would also help if you asked the candidate a little about themselves on a personal note prior to digging into any technical overview of their experience. Very poor job of selling the company to the candidate.
