I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Skyline Technology Solutions (Glen Burnie, MD)
Interview
The standard process involves a phone screen, a cultural and a technical interview. The phone screen is pretty cookie-cutter; you answer some technical questions related to the position. The cultural interview is designed both to assess your values and drive and to present to you what the company is about. From there, if both parties agree to a technical interview, that interview will determine your ability to perform the job. If all goes well, an expectations meeting is scheduled, and the you and Skyline discuss each other's expectation for your employment, and then you agree or disagree to come aboard. There's technically a DISC assessment (personality) too, but it only used to help others communicate effectively with you during your employment; it has no impact on you getting the job or not.
It's a long process, but the idea is that both you and the company should get clear expectations about the other...and that takes time.
Cultural Interview Hint:
You should not try to be anything you are not. There are no wrong answers on the cultural interview. You may even learn something about yourself if you come with an open mind.
Technical Interview Hint:
Come knowing your stuff, but be honest. Honesty is paramount to establishing trust. If you don't know something, say so. You may actually get really valuable feedback.
I applied online. I interviewed at Skyline Technology Solutions (New York, NY) in Nov 2020
Interview
They had that basic questions like tell me about yourself and describe about one of your supervisor you didn't go along with. I recommend them to change it and add few of the modern stuffs.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Skyline Technology Solutions (Long Beach, CA) in Mar 2016
Interview
Multi-step process. Initial phone screen with 10 basic knowledge screening questions, then an in-depth 1-2 hr cultural interview followed by a pretty in depth cultural interview (they will make sure they know where you are in terms of the depth of your technical knowledge.) If you pass the technical you will have an expectations interview where they will discuss the goals they have for your first 30 days, 60 days and 90 days. At the expectations interview a start date will likely be discussed.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Skyline Technology Solutions (Linthicum, MD) in Jan 2016
Interview
I went on 3 interviews and did 2 phone interviews. The process was long and rather intimidating. All employees were very friendly but the interview was hard. All interviews were with at least 3 senior members of the staff. The hardest part was the network diagram, you definitely need to study up and learn that well.
