      Graduate Engineer Interview

      Jul 31, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Edinburgh, Scotland
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Skyscanner (Edinburgh, Scotland) in Jul 2017

      Interview

-cover letter + cv -online hackerank test -non-technical skype interview -on-site assessment day The assessment day takes place at the head office in Edinburgh (regardless of where you're applying to, e.g. London applicants will still go to Edinburgh.) There is a teamworking exercise and two further interviews. A cultural interview and a technical interview. The technical interview was advertised as assessing how you would approach a task but was also quite involved with the amount of theory you would need to know.

      Interview

Interview was very warm and welcoming. I was interviewed by 3 people. Mostly technical questions. They asked me about my background, personal projects and internships I've done. They didn't look at my transcript.

      Graduate Engineer Interview

      Dec 3, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Barcelona
      Declined offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Skyscanner (Barcelona) in Mar 2019

      Interview

The process was tedious and took too long. First I received a HackerRank exercise, which I had to complete in two hours. I finished it in less than half the time: there were two exercises, the first one pretty was easy, and the second one a bit trickier. After that, I got an invitation for a video call interview: questions about me, my expectations... Finally, there was an event where I was supposed to meet part of the engineering team, do a group exercise and also an individual interview. It was scheduled to last more than 4 hours... not very appealing. I ended up accepting another offer which I preferred over this one.
