Sphere interview questions

I interviewed with a recruiter. Before that interview, I was asked to complete a skills assessment. The task was to redesign one of their existing courses. I spent several days working on a 10 page design document. The interview with the recruiter went very well. After several weeks the recruiter said they wanted someone with a specific industry background that wasn’t in the job description. I assume my work wasn’t even reviewed.
