I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Spitfire Strategies
Interview
Four Rounds - Phone Interview with one person, In-Person Interview with 4-5 people, a timed ghostwriting assignment and then a last interview with more executives. In the in-person interviews, people came in late to the interviews or left in the middle of it. They were very vague to answer who would manage me and what exactly I would be doing. The energy was cold and I felt like they could care less if I was there. I made it to the final round but did not get the offer.

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Spitfire Strategies (Washington, DC) in Jun 2019
Interview
Lengthy but thorough process. Screener interview followed by an interview with a member of the team, a writing test, and then a final interview with multiple members of the team. I thought the interview process was fair and organized, and ask legitimate questions to gauge my skill sets.

Question 1
How would you pitch this particular story to a reporter, and why
I found the job listing on a listserv and emailed resume and cover letter to hiring manager. In the first interview, I spoke to hiring manager and their supervisor about my experiences and interest in current projects and clients. At subsequent interview, I spoke with two potential colleagues and the same hiring manager. Oddly enough, I never met the person who made the offer in person.

Question 1
Nothing really unexpected, but be aware of their current projects and able to discuss how your experience applies.
