      Interview

      The first step was a technical assessment, which gives you an opportunity for a hands-on introduction to Trino, the open-source tool the company is built around. They're clear at this step about compensation range and shift(s) available. Next was a conversation with the recruiter about experience, goals, and questions. Following that were 2 technical interviews with , one assessing your ability to explain complicated concepts to laypeople, and one that was more "techie to techie". The last 2 interviews were business interviews with the hiring manager and the senior director of support that were more focused on gauging personality/culture-fit. It sounds like a lot, but it *felt* like a really well-rounded evaluation. Every interview felt like a conversation and it's probably the first and last time I'll ever say I enjoyed moving through a 4-6 (depending on how you count) round interview process because everyone I spoke to seemed smart and capable without being toxic about it. Nothing felt redundant or not applicable to the role, and the recruiter was great about facilitating the process and following up.

      Great recruitment process. Knowledge task really engaging. I had to create a free account on their application platform to get to know it and I find that really nice, because it helped me understand what the job is about. I loved talking to the recruiter and then to the technical expert. I didn't get the job but I enjoyed the experience.

      The recruiter Rich L. was good at communicating and taking me through the process until the end. I was told that I would be moving into the second round during the 1st interview, availability taken but never contacted until about 2 weeks after I reached out first. I was told the position was given to someone else. I was very excited about the company and what it was doing, but wish the overall process was better.
