I interviewed received an email, from status recruiter, and I had to book on calendar our meeting interview. In the email I received there were some links to status application, website, and GitHub.
After I studied Status, as a company, it seemed surreal, an extraordinary project, with great tech, mission and product.
Our interview was scheduled to 30 min, in the begging of the interview I mentioned that I have made a thorough researched on status and I will not need a basic presentation on it, so we can have time to know each other and to ask and answer questions.
The first 15 min the recruiter insisted on asking questions about my current employer, who is the client how does my company make profit etc, administrative question about my current employer that I don’t know how to answer, I remember telling her that I don’t know how to answer administrative questions about my current employer 4 TIMES, after that I made her a short description about my career, that I have been working also on a web3 application that is a collaboration dapp, whit messages and communities, an wallet for this application that permits users to send crypto between them (exactly as status) and I have experience in this area for 2 years.
After I finished presenting my career and start telling about my passion and respect on what status is trying to achieve, she stops me and says that the interview is over because she has an interview with another candidate and promised me that she will come back with a riguros feedback.
3 days later she responds with a template like email that “they will not proceed further” with my application.
I am very disappointed with how the interview went, I consider that I didn’t had a fair chance to explain why I am a good candidate to the job I applied for, and the feedback was a regular template email, blank, that did now helped me understand why I I,ve been rejected.
Overall, watching the Status manifesto, and some video with the CEO, seems a great place/project to be in.
