      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Summer Search in May 2018

      Interview

After submitting resume and cover letter, there was an informational phone interview about 45 mins long. That was great, then the in person interview came, and last minute changes to the interview led to a reschedule. The lack of communication and entirely relying on emails (I tried to get them on the phone on several occasions and only ever received emails back) left a bad taste in my mouth. When I was to have a video interview because I could not miss another day of work at my current position, they had to make it only a phone interview. By then I neither wanted the job or expected a job offer. It was a complete waste of time and drawn out process.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They gave a case review on how you would react to a certain situation.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Summer Search in Oct 2016

      Interview

It was an extremely flexible, professional, and pleasant interview process though it was very drawn out and protracted for the entry level job I was applying to. It began with a screening phone interview that lasted for half an hour. A few days later I was notified that I would be progressing the an in-person interview with the Executive Director. This interview was conducted over Skype since I was out of the area and lasted for about an hour. At the end of this interview, I was informed that if selected I would be required to do another interview with two additional managers and then I would also need to participate in a team interview. About a week later I was notified that I was moving forward and scheduled the interview. The last interview was about two hours. The first hour was with two direct managers and the last hour was a group conversation with potential team members. Everybody was friendly, professional, and open. After that, I was essentially told that I had the job but that an offer couldn't be made immediately. I really wanted the job at this point, so I was willing to wait. About two weeks later I got an offer call and email.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They were all fairly standard questions for a social service role. Describe your experience, describe a difficult situation etc. There was a case study but to answer it all you really needed to do was use common sense.
