      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Superside

      Interview

An excessively long recruitment process with a number of deeply concerning red flags across 3-4 stages: 1 HR interview, psychometric testing, a 4 day project, a presentation and possibly another interview behind that. The red flags began with 1. Being asked to undertake timed psychometric tests. Three tasks that were completely ludicrous... What does identifying 12 numerical patterns across triangles in 12 minutes prove exactly? 2. There was little respect for a candidate's time with all tasks being asked for across two weekends including submitting the project task on a Sunday. 3. I was appalled that the project tasks were expected to be carried out across 4 days when any candidate task to prove ability should only take a few hours. 4. Worst of all, the company expected a full plan and strategy for free. They had even added in a disclaimer that they would not provide payment but simply regarded it as part of the process. I was highly uncomfortable essentially providing free consultation for them and tried to avoid giving this over, but was also not in a position to pull out of the process. 5. The project tasks were numerous, overcomplicated and lengthy in description (and I have a lot of real life experience) 6. I was incorrectly told I was rejected from the role at an early stage which was distressing at that point. I think they only noticed when I emailed for feedback on why. A truly exhausting and upsetting recruitment process.
