I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at T2 Tea in Oct 2015
Interview
I applied through their website and they then conducted group interviews.
The group interview I went to was large, I would say 40 - 50 people. We filled in application forms and then lined up and had our photo taken.
We took turns to introduce ourselves and name our favorite tea.
We then lined up and took turns to briefly answer 3 questions with a staff member, because it was such a large group this was a very brief one on one interview, taking only around 2-3 minutes.
After this they took some time to explain a little about their company and products. We were then paired off to do exercises involving one person acting as a customer and one person pretending to be a T2 sales team member. While we did these activities the staff from T2 went around observing the groups. They also briefly covered add-ons and gift wrapping before finishing for the night.
Overall due to the size of the group I felt it was a very poor interview process, they seemed to have no interest in really getting to know who they were hiring as it was a temporary casual job.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at T2 Tea (Melbourne) in Sep 2024
Interview
It is pretty casual; the store Manager's name is Hailey, and she is very cool. The interview lasted around 10 minutes and mostly focused on my availability to work. She asked me 3 questions only, and she is really big on growth and motivation.

The interview was easy and was mainly about customer service questions such as explain when you faced a tricky customer and how you handled it. It was on Microsoft Teams.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at T2 Tea (Perth, Western Australia)
Interview
During the interview we first got our photos taken and filled in forms. Then we did different activities (looking for certain items around the store, trying to sell their teamaker and playing out a customer / sales assistant role) and then we had our quick one on one interviews with the store employees. Only negative thing was there was quite a few people, and many of us did not get the chance to meet the store manager who was doing the hiring.
