Explain a situation that you have helped a customer in.
The interview/hiring process took several months, without clear cause. The role I applied for was not clearly defined as it was a generalised description for several teaching roles. There was a few months between when I applied for the role/when the applications closed to when I was offered an interview, and then another few months before someone contacted me offering me a role. The interview itself was quite good, it was via teams with a three person panel. The questions asked were relevant and the interviewers were approachable. There was also an assessment, provided a few days beforehand, involving presenting a learning activity. As an experienced teacher, I found the interview and 'assessment task' relevant and allowed me to show off my skills and expertise effectively. They asked about a time that there had been a communication issue and how I solved it.
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at TAFE NSW (Sydney) in Mar 2026
Interview
Online panel interview that took around 10-15 minutes, each panelist asked a different question. Took over a month after application to receive interview invitation, two days after interview received reference request, after references took another month to receive offer.
