The poor communication and dramatically low compensation rates speak volumes about this company. Twice the same recruiter within a short timeframe contacted me for two different but similar positions. The recruiter didn't remember me the second time and both conversations ended abruptly after demanding my salary requirements immediately. [They pay about $20k less than the going rate for experienced, educated, management level roles ($40-45K for a manager with 2+ years experience and a BA.)] If you don't answer immediately with a low-ball number that's well beneath your worth, you'll be simply ignored. A commonplace and professional, "I'm afraid that's above our budgeted range for this role" would suffice.
