I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tecna (Farnborough, London, England) in Dec 2018
Interview
I was left waiting for 20 minutes, while the office assistant kept coming and apologising for her colleagues being late. When they finally arrived they didn't know who I was and had to check my CV to find out my name so they seemed unprepared from the offset. The two interviewers had a habit of cutting me off three words into my answers to ask another question, which I found to be very rude. At one point during a discussion of my previous salaries one of the interviewers stated that 'money shouldn't matter if you're passionate about the job though' which I thought to be a very peculiar comment. They then told me that it sounds like I didn't really try hard enough in my previous role to advance my career and seemed to get the impression I was chasing job titles and money - when in actual fact I'm just a 22-year-old looking for her second full-time job role. The interview lasted almost two hours, during which I came close to saying that seeing as they clearly didn't view me as a potential hire (which they more or less said to me pretty early on) could I leave rather than continue critisism of my career choices so far when it obviously wasn't leading anywhere. I left feeling incredibly deflated and my confidence had been knocked. They told me they would get back to me early the following week, but I didn't recieve an email until around two weeks later. I accepted another job role after waiting a week to hear, as I knew I didn't want to work for a company that conducted themselves the way they did during the interview.
