I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Texas State Auditor's Office (Austin, TX) in May 2015
Interview
2 part interview. First part was an audit assessment. 2nd part is actual question. The audit assessment runs you through a scenario where a certain sample agency must comply with 3 objectives to provided licenses. Data is provided.
Sample objective is: "Agency must have applicant be over 18 years old to obtain license" then within the data, there will sample applicants that have a DOB left blank or they are under 18 years old. Not only do you need to identify the problem, you need to offer a recommendation. I.e. "Agency should have another employee double check/review application before processing".
Very simple and easy if looked at in detail and objectively.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Texas State Auditor's Office (Austin, TX)
Interview
It was fairly easy, 2 in person interviews and a case study you had to complete then one final interview. The case study was to test how much you could use excel and use critical thinking.
