I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Borgen Project (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2020
Interview
The interview was done over Zoom (video conferencing) with an HR representative, who asked a few questions about my background and my intentions of applying for the internship. I was then asked to summarize the organization's overall mission statement.
After answering, the HR rep asked if I was familiar with the org's aspect of fundraising and there I was told I would have to raise at least $500 throughout my internship...despite being a writing internship.

Question 1
What are your qualifications, in terms of writing news content?
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Borgen Project (Jersey City, NJ) in Oct 2023
Interview
The interview was honestly quite robotic, and read like a question and answer. They asked about how my experience would influence my work in the program and what challenges I hope to overcome through the internship.

Question 1
What are your weaknesses and how will you overcome them during your internship?
Very nice interviewer, not intimidating in any way. Good idea to read up about Borgen on their website and prepare to talk about your job experiences and why you want to help.

Question 1
Tell me a little about yourself and why you want to work here.
I submitted a writing sample after submitting my application, then heard back about a week later about an interview. The interview was about 25-minutes, and I was offered the position the next day. The interview was simple, asked questions about fundraising and time management. It was all over Zoom.
