My first interview was a live chat where I was asked basic questions such as how I was, how the weather is and the good ol’ “tell me a bit about yourself”. I was also asked about my skills and why I want to work for The Chat Shop. I really liked my interviewer, I was incredibly nervous but she put me at ease. My interview lasted around 45 minutes (felt much shorter!) and I was told I was through to the next stage at the end of the interview, my next interview was 2 days later.
My second interview was also a live chat, where I was asked about my skills, questioned about the knowledge base I was sent after my first interview, then watched a video they sent me the link to, for which I answered questions about, and then onto a ‘live chat scenario’ where I had to reply to the ‘chatter’ (interviewer) based off the EIM previously sent to me. I did 3 of these scenarios, possibly because I messed up the second one. Make sure you are up to date on the case study (mine was Website World, not sure if it’s the same for everyone). I was told at the end of the interview that I was through to the third round of interviews.
My third interview was a Skype call (voice only) the next day, where I was asked about previous job experiences, why I want to work for The Chat Shop and why I think I’d be good for them. It was only 7 minutes long.
I was emailed a few days later r.e a reference check and then offered the job.
I found that all interviewers were genuinely lovely and tried their hardest to make me feel at ease. Best interview process I have ever been through!
I would advise really engaging with the conversation, particularly in the second interview, rather than solely following the EIM and of course make sure your grammar is perfect and response times low.
