I applied online. I interviewed at The Clymb (Portland, OR)
Interview
This is a 3 part interview process: Phone interview, in-person interview, and finally a conversation with the head office located in California. The first 2 parts of the interview went great. I loved speaking with those in the Portland office and learning about the position. The initial phone call was probably 20-30 minutes and the in-person interview lasted a little over 2 hours where I spoke with 3 different leads/managers. It was a really small office, only about 10 employees or so. It really felt like a genuine conversation and was really looking forward to the opportunity!I was told that they were trying to hire someone quickly. The head of the Portland office said she really wanted me to join the team and was going to reccommend me to her boss in CA.
My negative impression comes from the third process of the interview in which I was supposed to speak with a Manager or Executive from their CA office. I got a message from the head of the Portland office that I met with prior, saying that she was leaving her position at The Clymb and gave me another contact to reach out to. All fine. This happens and I was willing to re-do any part of the interview process. I emailed her on 3 separate occasions, giving times I would be available for a call, offering to send a new resume or Cover Letter etc. Finally, she got back to me - She ignored any suggestions I had to try meet or speak with her. She said there was an influx of awesome interviews and I should try contacting her later. I was immediately put off by the lack of acknowledgment and respect for the time I put into work for The Clymb. Given I had invested almost 3 hours interviewing for the position already, I feel that the next step should have been to have a short phone call with me so that, if you are looking at other people, you can at least get to meet the person who was a top contender, according to the former head of the Portland office. From further job posts from them it is clear that they wanted to hire someone for this position in CA. Instead of sending a quick email stating this and acknowledging my time and interest, it seemed that they were just shoeing me away.
I am very unimpressed with the lack of communication from Management at The Clymb in the CA office. A quick phone call or email to explain the situation would have resulted in a postitive review here. However, now I just feel like they clearly do not care about their interviewees time and leaving me to wonder how they handle their customers.

What is something that takes away your energy and leaves you unmotivated?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The Clymb (Portland, OR) in Feb 2014
Interview
I had met a recruiter at a job fair and she got me a skype interview with one of their e-commerce guys. That interview went well and then I had another skype interview with the guy in charge of hiring. Wasn't too difficult. They didn't try to stump me. Very conversational. Each lasted about 30 mins.
After I submitted my application for review I received an email about how open they would be with communication going forward and then that was it. Their autoresponder encouraged applicants to reach out if they haven't heard back in 5 business days, so I did. After no word, I reached out on facebook to their social media manager who put me in touch with someone in charge of hiring. She responded asking for additional materials, which I provided, and never heard back. The posting has since been removed from the site.
