Interviews at The Hoya
Interviews for Top Jobs at The Hoya
Anonymous Employee
I applied in-person. I interviewed at The Hoya
10 minute interview, all behavioral. They asked just the basic questions (tell me about yourself, why do you want to join, etc). There were two interviewers but it was very nice and relaxed. There was no dress code.
- Tell me about yourself? Why do you want to join the Hoya?

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Hoya (Washington, DC) in Jan 2016
I was asked about my previous experience working as a newspaper reporter. Additionally, I was asked what newspapers I read and why I want to go into journalism. I replied that I read Buzzfeed, The New Yorker, and The 4E, the blog I was applying for. Overall, it was a very casual interview. I enjoyed meeting with the editors and felt we got along great from the get go.
- What newspaper experience do you have?
