The Mob Museum interview questions

The interview process took longer than a month and the job was initially offered at $16.50 USD/hr. After completing three interviews and accepting the job with the agreed upon pay, management rescinded the agreed-upon pay then offering me $15.00 USD/hr or walk. However, I was told by Admin and Management that I could quickly receive the pay increase if I were to complete XYZ steps, which I did according to the little opportunities permitted to me by them, After 11 months, I had still not received the $1.50 measly raise; rather, I received a disrespectful $.25 (yes, a quarter) raise. Again, not very transparent as a 501(c)3 museum should be, but manipulative practices will keep you 'believing' you are doing right.

You would think that a place that portrays itself in such an accomplished manner would conduct business more appropriately. Instead, they masquerade as professionals. The interview process lasted about a month, with an interview each week. A basic phone interview (30 minutes), an in-person interview (60 minutes), a writing assignment (day's-worth of work), and a final virtual interview (30 minutes). Long story short, after having seemingly positive interactions throughout, I was told that I would know my fate at the end of the next week. During that time, I received an email from the last interviewer stating how much she enjoyed our conversation and to expect to hear from them soon. They re-posted the job about a week later and I never heard from them again. They dragged their feet by adding interview after interview and finally ghosted without a peep after wasting so much of my time. Supremely bush league and if there's one thing I learned from this, it's to never do 'homework assignments' in an interview/application process. This was the definition of a wishy-washy employer, so be prepared to tell them when -they- need to make a decision and that you've already done enough for them to be able to make one.
