Interview
I replied to the job advertisement for a bilingual news reporter for the entertainment section of the newspaper and the Myanmar Times contacted me to come for an interview. I was given an English article to translate into Burmese and a Burmese article to translate into English probably to test my language competency. I was interviewed by several people at the newspaper, the English editor of the entertainment section, the Myanmar editor-in-chief, the executive editor and the chief executive officer. I had the feeling that they were really impressed with me and aiming to give me really good position. I was finally offered the job and a good salary.
