I applied for this role and within an hour was invited to a screening call. During the conversation, I was asked about my CV coming across as 'job hopping' My explanation was accepted as this was due to companies closing and redundancy. The same day, I was invited for a second-stage interview with a panel, which again, went well. I was then invited to the final stage and asked to complete a task and present it in person. The presentation took me 2 days, as I wanted this role! During the presentation, eveything was positive and the feedback was great. The following week, I was told I didn't get the job because I hadn't stayed in roles for long enough... the same questions I had answered during the first screening call, almost four weeks before.
I felt like I had wasted so much time and effort. They should have never taken me all the way through just to say no to something that they already knew weeks beforehand. The worst part, the role is back up on LinkedIn.
A perfect example of being out of touch and not valuing other's time and energy.
