Unfortunately, the longest and most disappointing interview process a software engineering candidate should have to go through for a non-competitive wage. Strangely, the job was already reposted before my final round at a much lower rate making this process seem like a job market case study they were conducting. The interview process is as follows:
- An automated IQ test and behavior exam totaling 170+ questions (this will generate a 7 page Wonderlic report outlining your personality and motivation that will be attached to your resume when you speak with a live person)
- An automated one way interview where a candidate needs to answer 10 questions in video format. One minute to answer each (most candidates are ghosted after this it looks like)
- A 30 minute behavioral interview with a manager
- A 2 hour technical interview. One question on system design and one live Hackerank coding session. Googling is allowed for some reason.
Also, a week of silence after completing each individual round and as expected, no courtesy rejection letter in the end. On the other hand, the engineering team itself is actually pretty great and knowledgeable, which makes me believe they're not really in charge of this process or have the final say. Unless you need the interview practice or have a free month to spend, avoid this company if you can
