I had 2 initial screening interviews before they gave me a take-home assignment that was due in a week. I'm a single dad and had to use my PTO as well as hire a babysitter to have time to focus on their assignment. I pushed up my code and messaged the hiring manager that It was ready for evaluation. I was proud of the work I submitted and was looking forward to hearing from them. I didn't hear from him for a week. I reach back out and he tells me he's not sure why no one has contacted me and he will get back to me. Another week and a half goes by and I send out another email. TrainingPeaks simply ghosted me. No feedback, no acceptance, no rejection. They just went silent. I found this to be an incredible waste of time and a complete lack of respect on their part. In hindsight, I think I dodged a bullet because I imagine they treat their employees the same way they treat their applicants. I only wish I hadn't sacrificed time away from my kids for this interview.
