      Engineer Interview

      Apr 27, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at TripleLift

      Interview

They contacted me about an engineering position, and I had a call with someone there. She nervously rushed through what sounded like a scripted marketing pitch and kept talking over me. She was barely able to answer any questions about the position, and I don't think she really even understood what the company does. The position was only slightly relevant to my experience. She kept pushing for a salary number, and when I wouldn't give one she responded with a huge range which could mean anything. I really got the feeling they're looking for cheap bodies to churn out code. I'm also morally opposed to their business so I guess it's partly my fault for even accepting the call.

      Question 1

What was your previous salary? (I know this isn't a real interview question but it's making me put something)

Thanks for the feedback. At TripleLift we value continued learning and improvement. Your feedback will help us improve our recruiting process and make sure every candidate we interact with has a positive experience. We are very proud of the products and services TripleLift provides to marketers, ad agencies, and ultimately consumers. The way we see it -- without respectful ad monetization options, consumers will be paying for content via subscription fees. We think our products present the best option available to keeping the internet free.
