Tyndale House Publishers interview questions

First interview was over the phone. Second was in person. The staff was very polite and genuine, and the facility was great. The interview required a timed, in-person scantron test taken at the facility, which, while it was not a surprise, I found to be a strange way to gauge a candidate's aptitude for the role.

I applied for this position online and about two weeks later received a call from an HR representative late in the evening. I was surprised to be receiving a call so late in the day (it was after 7 p.m.), but went ahead and completed an initial phone interview. I was asked some questions about my prior experiences and about my faith. I understand that this is a faith-based organization, but did not feel that I should not apply just because it may not be the faith I followed. I think it's possible to work for a company even if you don't follow or agree with all of its ideals. However, once I disclosed that I didn't follow Christianity but respected the religion and felt that there were good things in the religion and that there was a lot that could be learned even if I followed a different faith/path, that all consideration for me was thrown out of the door. I was told that I would receive a response either way (whether I got the position or not) and never got a call or email back. So, I was directly lied to and ghosted.
