Ursa Major Technologies interview questions

Very lengthy process… More than five interviews. The interviewers were mostly warm, welcoming, and asked great questions. Overall, my impression of the people was positive and I was disappointed the process ended the way it did, as I was committed and excited to join the mission. The compensation in my written offer was reduced to a lesser amount than previously agreed upon in a verbal offer, despite asking for comp in the bottom third of the pay band. Additionally, the job title was reduced, without change to scope of work.

I had an initial phone interview with an HR person for a position I was objectively highly for. It seemed to go very well, but I later received a message that the hiring manager elected not to proceed with the second round. That alone puzzled me a little given my background, but it happens. What I did not appreciate was that when I requested feedback they ghosted me. No one "deserves" a position, but I think in a scenario like this, where an applicant is clearly qualified and has been interviewed, there should be a willingness to spend five minutes to help the person improve future outcomes. Just my two cents.
