First round of interviews was pretty relaxed, friendly interviewers (there were 2 people). Had to complete a copywriting task during the interview. Then had 2 writing tasks to complete ahead of their decision about a final interview
I interviewed at Usborne Publishing (Farringdon, England)
Interview
For the first round it was a nice interview and they asked basic questions. It wasn't anything too difficult. It was conducted over teams and was for only half an hour.
I applied online. I interviewed at Usborne Publishing
Interview
The process involved two rounds of interviews. In the first one I was interviewed by two Production controllers and then by two Production managers. The staff were friendly,?but the interviews were very laidback and lacked structure. I prepped a lot for both interviews but they only asked maybe four actual interview questions - the rest was chit chat, so I wasn’t able to fully put across my experience or skills. The biggest red flag was that they took a week to get back to us regarding the outcome despite saying it would only be the following day. They also used a recruitment agency who provided no feedback regarding the interview outcome which felt impersonal.
