I received a LinkedIn message from a V-Soft recruiter about this content strategy role, inviting me to apply. I have never heard of this company and their reviews here are fishy: they don't pay their own people well and their health insurance provider doesn't pay for care.
Unfortunately for the recruiter, he left the company name in the job listing so I doublechecked. I went to the company's LinkedIn site and contacted them to verify that V-Soft is representing both them and this contract role. Nope: the HR department had never heard of V-Soft either and they were definitely not using V-Soft to fill contract roles.
I urge all contractors approached by V-Soft to think twice about interacting with them in any way. I've been a contract content strategist for over 20 years, I've been placed at many Fortune 100/500 companies through legitimate agencies and recruiters, and I've learned (the hard way) that it's not worth it to take chances. You have to vet agencies the same way you vet companies offering full-time roles, or you're going to regret it.
