Got contacted by a Digital recruitment agency called eRecruit based in Oslo, Norway. At the time, I was applying for jobs in Chiswick area. The Recruiter told me that the job is based in Chiswick and the hours will be Mon-Fri 10-6. During the interview I found out that wasn't the case. The job description suited my needs and I was keen to come in for an interview. When she sent me the interview details, the interview was scheduled in their Egham office. I thought, I'd go anyway.. In the email she requested to wear a business dress and to be there at least 15 min prior for registration. The email also stated that there will be a light lunch served afterwards.
When I got there, a bunch of scruffy workers sat around, no one knew where the Branch Manager was. And when the BM finally came in, he wasn't even aware that I was coming for an interview, forget the registration process. I was asked to wait around for 10-15 minutes after which I got called in for a quick chat. The interview took literally 15 min which was done in a rushed unprofessional manner. At the end I was asked if I had any questions. As I was showing my interest in the company and did have a few questions, the BM looked at me and said ''why are you asking that?'' And actually every question I asked, he raised his brow.
This was just my experience and it didn't leave a nice taste in the mouth.
Your experience might be different. They do sell a fantastic product, but if you work for someone, you want your boss to respect you as an individual not looking down on you.
Thank you for reading.
