I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Verkada in Oct 2019
Interview
Applied online (w/o referral), then received online assessment. Finished the online assessment, which contained three questions in total, 2 LC Medium, 1 LC Hard. Upon completion of OA, had phone call w/ recruiter talking about next steps, then was given take home assignment. Unless you know python for backend, you have to do front-end challenge. I am not a front-end person, despite that, I was forced to do it. After turning in take home assignment, received rejection couple days later with no explanation. I would recommend to the prospective SWEs out there, stay away from this company. The company is not organized, disrespectful and not timely.

I applied online. I interviewed at Verkada in Jan 2024

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Verkada (San Diego, CA) in Feb 2023
Interview
Recruiter call, followed by one technical interview, followed by 4 rounds of virtual on-site interview (3 technical, 1 behavioral). During the on-site, the interviewer was 25 minutes late to the first round. I only got the remaining 35 minutes to complete the technical question (which I did). The other rounds went smoothly as well. After the on-site, Verkada emailed and asked to do the first round again with a different interviewer since it was "short". This was very unprofessional since it was their interviewer who was late, and by good practice, they should not have scheduled another round. Regardless, I scheduled another interview with them for the next day, which then they pushed back another day. Then a couple hours before the interview they emailed and cancelled it, saying they hired somebody else. This was an extremely unprofessional way of dealing with a candidate, and I would definitely deter anyone from interviewing with them.
