The interview process was a breeze. My recruiter was well versed with company's motto and was an absolute pleasure to talk to. The interview I felt was a bit rushed but hey that's part of the startup culture everyone aspires to experience.
I applied online. I interviewed at Verkada in Jan 2024
Interview
Interview process consisted of code signal pre-screen with two medium questions, then phone screen, then 45-minute Technical Round, Final round interview onsite, which consisted of a bunch of interviews including system design, architecture, and regular leetcode style coding interview.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Verkada (San Diego, CA) in Feb 2023
Interview
Recruiter call, followed by one technical interview, followed by 4 rounds of virtual on-site interview (3 technical, 1 behavioral). During the on-site, the interviewer was 25 minutes late to the first round. I only got the remaining 35 minutes to complete the technical question (which I did). The other rounds went smoothly as well. After the on-site, Verkada emailed and asked to do the first round again with a different interviewer since it was "short". This was very unprofessional since it was their interviewer who was late, and by good practice, they should not have scheduled another round. Regardless, I scheduled another interview with them for the next day, which then they pushed back another day. Then a couple hours before the interview they emailed and cancelled it, saying they hired somebody else. This was an extremely unprofessional way of dealing with a candidate, and I would definitely deter anyone from interviewing with them.
