I was told this would be an informal interview, both by my recruitment consultant and one of the interviewers when we got to making introductions. Questions were based around my experience and somewhat vague. Asked about my participation in projects I'd done at the beginning of my career; questions pitched as very vague and open ended: "I see you did X...what was that like?" and "And how did it work?" it was challenging to work out what they wanted as an answer; I felt I would answer but then there would be follow up questions that were just as vague. "Any other observations?" or worse, asked what my role was when I'd literally just been describing my role. Seemed to focus a lot on one small project I'd done many years ago and ignore any more recent skills or employers, it felt oddly pressured on this one point but with no clarity on what they wanted me to explain. They kept going back to it and it was quite off putting towards the end of the hour. Overall friendly but not particularly helpful. Was not surprised to see they did not offer, though their feedback was bizarre. "doesn't have consulting experience" and which was obvious from my resume. I guess it depends on the interviewer you get on the day, your experience may be less frustrating!
