Hands down one of the absolute worse interviews I've ever had with any company.
A third-party recruiter asked me to please consider applying so I thought I'd give it a shot. Had an interview scheduled immediately. Was told it would be a video interview, online.
First the recruiter is late. They then have technical troubles with her audio. Ends up starting the interview ten minutes late. And they don't turn on their camera or comment on it. I am unsure whether to leave my camera on or not.
They don't introduce themselves -- I have no idea who they are (job position wise) or where they are located.
Proceeds to ask me questions without explaining the interview structure at all. Questions include highly inappropriate things like "where were you born" and "what middle school did you attend - your LinkedIn doesn't say". Also asks questions that they say are "not relevant to the role but just out of curiosity I want to ask". When I asked "how is this relevant to my ability to do the job?" in return, they just laughed.
After 50 minutes straight of being bombarded with questions, they suddenly announce they would like to explain about the role and the company. I remind them our interview was scheduled for an hour, and we're already at time.
Asks if I could please stay a bit longer. I said fine, hard stop in 15 minutes. 15 minutes later they announce it's time for questions from my end.
Clearly is incapable of planning, listening, or respecting a candidate's time.
Unbelievably unprofessional and red flags all around. Highly inappropriate and dysfunctional HR.
I immediately rescinded my application. Do not recommend applying for anyone.
