I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Washburn University (Topeka, KS) in Apr 2016
I met with the department chair for approximately 45 minutes. The meeting began on time in the chair's office. I brought printed copies of all documents I had emailed when I applied. We reviewed my CV, and details of the course they needed taught.
- What courses have you taught?

The job application is very simple. You will be asked for a few references, but they don't all have to be job references. You can include professors and character references. You DO have to be enrolled in classes for your application to be considered. I was called in for an interview within a week of turning in my application. The interview was very relaxed. The interviewer asked me about my plans for school and what classes I would be taking. He then asked me a few general questions about how I would handle upset customers, etc. Admittedly, I didn't answer one of the questions very well since I hadn't prepared for it at all, but I ended up getting the job anyway.
- Tell me about a stressful situation you experienced and how you handled it.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Washburn University (Topeka, KS)
Application through HR and addressed to Selection Committee, which is how all interviews are conducted - making it a very slow process. 2 weeks Then was called to indicate my application met criteria and to ask to go forward with references. 2 weeks later was then brought in for interview and had 1-1 with committee, 1-1 with director, 1-1 vp, and an office q/a session. Got a tour and a HR talk too. 2 weeks later called to make hard offer and discuss start dates. all in all took a month and two weeks.
- Was expected and told ahead of time to prepare for a presentation.
