Interview
The interview process is crazy. I interviewed with 4 separate people over about a month span and all went well and they lead me on like I was going to get the job
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at WeTheHobby (Rochester, NY) in Apr 2023
Interview
Applied and received a required to schedule a phone interview in the evening a few days later. Scheduled and conducted phone interview, was told my lack of sports knowledge was not a problem as it was not a requirement as outlined in the job description. Was told I seemed like a great fit and invited to a second interview in person. Besides the parking nightmare, the interview began 7-10 minutes late. One of the first questions asked was what my sports knowledge base was. I reiterated that it was minimal to which I was immediately told that this position was exclusively for individuals with extensive sports knowledge. Confused as to why I was even asked to waste my time attending the second interview to be immediately told my lack of sports knowledge was going to prohibit my ability to be a valid candidate for the position. I was then offered the idea of a content creation position with no provided idea of expected pay. This was also in no way a full time position, like the position I had applied for. The CEO informed me he likes to use this job listing to farm resumes for interesting candidates to then try to place into other positions in the company. The definition of a bait and switch. I would not have wasted my time attending the interview had I known their plan for it. Don't bother unless you want your time and gas money completely wasted. An absolute joke, and a pretty gross dingy store front. Wobbly chairs and table fell over just laying my small bag on it.
