Interview
Four interviewers, three in similar or slightly more senior positions. A good balance of general "tell us about you" questions and more specific questions about knowledge and experience. Having experience in the field helped a lot, I was able to translate my experience into terms they were familiar with - even the parts of my recent work experience that aren't directly related.

Question 1
Do you have an interest in pursuing an academic (professor) career? What are some of the statistical analysis methods you've used?
After an interview by HR, expect more detailed interviews with individuals and panels of potential colleagues. Questions will align to the analytical skills the team is hiring for. WestEd values adaptability, flexibility, and strong skills.

Interview
Formal interview with department director. I also had the opportunity to meet with various members of the project team, and the human resources director. I was asked to come back for a second, longer interview with the project director, and this included going out to lunch.
