I was given a take-home project to analyze user data followed by an interview where we went over a python coding question, my take-home project, and a mock research scenario. Data team up to this point was very nice but the final round had major red flags. I interviewed with one of the co-founders (head of engineering) for the final round and he made several unprofessional and frankly inappropriate comments and questions about me, my background, and my family. He called my resume "simple" even though I was just a new grad, proceeded to call my academic background "different", and then asked me what my parents thought about all this. He questioned whether or not I would enjoy a full-time data analyst position given my "different interests". No one deserves this level of unprofessionalism regardless of academic or professional background. After receiving the written offer, I asked whether there was flexibility on compensation and requested a brief extension to review the offer. The company chose to withdraw the offer rather than continue the discussion. Don't recommend and be sure to stay analytical of 5 star reviews. Many of them are worded similarly, especially in the cons section ("definitely fast paced", "high expectations", "no notable cons at the moment"). Job market is bad right now but make sure to always stand up for yourself.
