Interviews at Wine Warehouse

Anonymous Employee in San Jose, CA
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Wine Warehouse (San Jose, CA)
Start with a screening call to meet. Next, meet with a current sales representative to work with in the field visiting stores and meeting managers 1 final interview after meeting in the field
- What is one challenge you had to overcome and how did you overcome it?

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Los Angeles, CA
I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Wine Warehouse (Los Angeles, CA) in Dec 2021
Call from the recruiter for a quick screen, followed by an hour-long conference call with 2 hiring managers, and then an hour-long IRL interview. The interviews were simple enough, discussing past experience, behavioral questions, and information on the role and organization. There was a lack of clarity on the organizational culture, clear expectations of the role, the onboarding plan...seemed like potential red flags. An offer was made but decided to decline it. The negotiation was met with "no's" on all points which seems like an organization that is very rigid and not understanding of the market which was a major red flag.

I felt it was a very Positive experience with educated professionals . Interesting questions. 3 separate individual interviews. All interviews were very straight forward interviews with 4 people. Never felt pressured but needed to have extensive wine knowledge. I’d rate the experience very highly.
