      Operations & Logistics Associate Interview

      Apr 14, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Wingz (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2016

      Interview

Possibly the worst interview experience I've ever had. Their initial contact was not requesting a good time to talk but instead I was given only two options to choose from for a direct skype interview. After the Skype interview they immediately called me in for an in person interview for an hour . A day later, I was emailed asking for 3-5 references ( which i was happy to provide) from which they called up every single one of them ( the CAO emails at 5PM on a Thursday telling me that she could not get hold of 2 of my referrals that evening, furthermore asking me to have them contact her that evening itself or the day after) . Saturday morning, I get emailed that they moved on to what they called as "Final step in this process" where they wanted me to come back in for the 2 time for an hour and half on Monday. I was told there were four people that I am meeting, but was not filled in about if it was a panel interview, or if it was on on one ( for which I had to ask the receptionist what exactly i was walking into). After the interview, there was absolutely no contact for 2 whole days . At the end of the second day I emailed them asking if they had any progress in the decision to which I get an email at 9:00PM that they had moved on to another candidate. The worse part of it all is that every other email was a auto generated email in the individual didn't even take the time to write my first name while addressing me. What a terrible waste of time and energy. Terrible HR, recruiting practices. They had absolutely no idea what they were interviewing for.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Can you work in the weekends? Do you have any experience with zendesk ( They had absolutely no idea what they were interviewing for. They asked for 1-3 years of data analysis experience and were asking me if I was involved with customer service)?

Thank you for your response and we are sorry to hear that your interviewing experience wasn't positive. Sometimes there are lag periods in the interviewing process that we know can be frustrating. We really do try to stay in contact so our candidates know where we are in the process at all times. While our intention wasn't to be impersonal in our communication, we were using a new system and we were not aware it was sending emails without your name. This is currently being addressed. We want all of our candidate's experiences with Wingz to be positive and authentic. While it sounds like we may not have been the best fit for you, we do wish you great success in your job search.
