I applied online. I interviewed at Wolfspeed in Jun 2017
Interview
Applied online. HR contacted me after 2+ months and asked about citizen status and availability to start work. They moved the resume to hiring manager, and if approved they will send you questionnaires to fill out. After about a week, if the process move forward there will be a phone interview with the engineer manager. The interview with Cree is by far one of the most difficult interview I had. I was well prepared beforehand but for some reason it made me extremely nervous. Be prepare to talk about your experience (research or work) and know the technical details about LED. Be able to solve "critical thinking questions" such as those described in other reviews. A week after the interview I was declined to move forward in the hiring process.
Normal tell me about yourself, why do you want to work here, problem solving example, technical question specific to the area you interview for. HR phone screen, manager phone screen then in person interview on site
Multiple interview rounds, multiple interviews with heads of different departments as the last round. Interview process started with a phone recruiter, followed by a hiring manager, the Hiring Manager's manager, and then a final round with all the heads of the departments independently (4-5)
