Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What did my old manager say/tell me to improve on in the past
It was a video call followed by in person meeting. Unfortunately both of the men were extremely judgemental, also the atmosphere was very weird as it looked like the only thing they were interested in was showing off how cool and chill they are- which his completely unprofessional. ESPECIALLY in a business environment- why do you want to show off as chill and cool and NOT as a professional? Very off putting.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about working at X company? (They just look at your cv and ask for one after another)
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Work.Life (London, England) in Mar 2024
Interview
The interviewer Viraj was 10 minutes late, and the staff in the workspace seemed uninterested. The interviewers typed verbatim instead of actively listening, and asked very few questions. Just wanted to run through my CV, making the process feel mechanical. They attempted to trip me up with what felt like basic interview 101 questions and gave misguided, snappy responses. At the end, I was told the role had already been filled internally and might be available again if the current hire doesn’t pass their probation. This left me questioning why I was interviewed in the first place.
Additionally, I was offered a junior position based on misunderstandings of my qualifications. It was clear they hadn't been listening and possibly manipulated my words to offer a lower role.
Overall, this was a very negative experience. I recommend you review your interview process to ensure candidates are treated with respect and professionalism.
