I applied online. I interviewed at XPO (Charlotte, NC) in Feb 2024
Interview
Phone screen with Recruiter, then a 30 minute phone interview with hiring manager, then a one hour onsite interview. this might be 2 visits -- I was called back for 2nd onsite.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at XPO (Columbus, OH)
Interview
Fairly straight forward interview. Asked about school and like one or two behavioral questions. The interviewer will end up being your manager. Interviewed at the main offices. Heard back within two week.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at XPO (Southfield, MI) in Jan 2016
Interview
I recruiter called me to set up a time to talk. The phone call was 25 minutes long and was very basic. Questions like why do you want to work for XPO? and What do you like about the company? were the only questions that needed some planning and insight.
In the general interview I met up with a Senior Software Developer and the IT Vice President. Extremely laid back and asked me questions about my resume and what I was excited about doing in the job. There was no situational questions! I loved that! I asked a lot of questions about the job at the end and they really liked that and we just talked about the company a lot and what the job would be like. Best intern interview I've ever had. They were professional, nice, and got straight to the point. No struggling to think of a situation or how you might potentially handle it and the STAR method.
Overall I am very much looking forward to this internship.
