Interview
Wrote 2 letters explaining why I wanted job, was offered phone "interview" which they didn't really ask anything about me just talked about the company. I asked why they thought the company had such negative reviews etc, was told it was hard work and not everyone was suited for it which is fair enough.
Then a group video with the CEO, was supposed to have time for questions but didn't happen very well. I searched and read alot of the reviews on here and decided they didn't sound very ethical or professional.
The "salary" is really a joke, I wrote it down so you don't have to waste your time interviewing. So firstly, it's not a salary, it's a retainer and you have to pay it back to them if you don't make enough in commission to cover it and this begins from DAY 1. You can imagine how that may put you in a tough spot. But anyway they offer you 9000 dirhams a month but subtract money for a place to live leaving you with approximately 1000 GBP per month. If you don't make enough commission to cover the retainer your debt rolls over to the next month.
They said I would need to cover 50% of my flights "so they know i'm not trying to get a free holiday" hilarious.
I refused the job at the point I broke down the salary to the guy interviewing me, they seemed to talk alot without actually saying anything.
It may suit you if you have nothing to lose, a spare year and some money to live off whilst in Dubai. They say the average salary of trainees is 30-40kGBP per year but if that was the case surely they would pay a few hundred for a flight to Dubai?
Also they make you watch a bunch of youtube videos of the CEO where he just comments on the successes of other people. I don't see why I successful CEO would spend so much time making Youtube videos but whatever.
Very clear and quick, they called me many times to be sure that I was aware of everything before continuing the process. Waiting for the next step. I did the first video call with a Recruiter and I'm actually waiting for the next one with the Hiring Manager.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at deVere Group (Retford, England) in Sep 2019

Another online test (MMAT) - answer 50 questions in 15 minutes.
A Skype interview. Was told I would be informed on my outcome within 2 days - a month and a half later I have not received any update, even after a follow up.
