I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at the LEGO Group (San Diego, CA) in Sep 2011
Interview
My interview was for the brick specialist position in a new retail store. Lego had a hiring fair outside its store location. First, they had us fill out the application and then they interviewed us on-site. The interview itself was very informal. There were two interviewers that were from other stores, and asked many situational and experience questions that focused on customer service and working with others. You will be called back for a 2nd interview if you made it past the first group one.

Question 1
Have you every worked with someone you did not get along with? How did you handle it?
I applied online. I interviewed at the LEGO Group (Lone Tree, CO) in Jul 2025
Interview
Sat down and discussed what the role entails, a background of the store itself and what average hours looked like. Then went into further questions about my qualifications and how it would be beneficial to the store.
The interview was a typical one, where questions of how you have interacted with children included, which was different but expected from a store such as this one. I really enjoyed the conversation and the way they handled the interview.
