      I applied online for a Support Engineer position in Berlin, two days later I had. 3 hours test to complete. The job description is very general and the test is not clear. From this experience, I think that they do not know really which profile they want, and they are just testing a lot of candidates to process the data somehow.

      They start with the technical test, it wasn't so hard. Your colleagues from the support team have contacted you regarding a problem. A customer called them with an error message, specifically the ERROR_FILE_EXISTS message. This error message is referring to a line in the source code that calls the Windows API function GetTempFileName. The customer mentioned that they do not have administrator rights. To investigate further, you checked our automatic error reporting database and found that this error has never occurred for any other customer. However, for this particular customer, it happens frequently. The customer also believes that it is related to a Clipboard manager tool that they always use. Additionally, it seems to only happen with certain versions of Windows Server. One of the customer's colleagues suggests that the error message is caused by a registry error and recommends using a tool to repair the registry. Please provide a clearly structured account of the problem that will allow your colleagues to immediately utilize your findings. Address the following aspects to an appropriate extent: - What could be the cause of the problem? - What do you think about the suggestion of the customer's colleague? - What advice can you give to your colleagues? If you provide more than one solution, please sort them by importance.

      I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at think-cell (Berlin) in Jan 2024

      One of their HR partners found me on LinkedIn. The job description is completely vague and common. After a screening call, they sent me a "well-known" silly test case and obviously, I failed it. I have no clue what "distinct competencies for this position" they are assessing, but definitely not for a support one. Do not waste your time passing this test, they will reject your application in the end.
