One of the newer members of the California State University System, the campus was established in 1994. CSUMB is located on 1,400 acres on the grounds of the US Army's former Fort Ord, between the coastal cities of Monterey and Santa Cruz. Its undergraduate and graduate programs include business administration, education, information technology, marine science, performing arts, and psychology degrees.
