Description If an apple a day keeps the doctor away, regular use of an Oral-B should keep dental visits at bay. Oral-B Laboratories is a manufacturer of oral hygiene products, such as power and manual toothbrushes, floss, irrigation products, toothpaste, and mouth rinse. A periodontist, Dr. Robert Hutson, designed and patented the first Oral-B toothbrush in 1950 and in 1978 the company developed its first power toothbrush. Oral-B was acquired in 1984 by Gillette and shifted to Procter & Gamble (P&G) in 2005. Oral-B products are sold directly to dental offices, through retail outlets, and online stores such as drugstore.com, Amazon.com, and CVS.com.
